Meet The Staff

Jennifer Woodall, Executive Director

I once heard someone say “We may feel helpless but we are never hopeless.” In life we experience trials, many that are unexpected. As Christians, it is our responsibility to help those in need. I can remember a time in my life where I too was in an unexpected situation that I could not see a way out of until I had people come along side to help guide me. In Proverbs 3:6, it states “in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path.” Over the past few years, God has taken my past experiences to help better equip me to serve people. He takes our fears and turns them into confidence. As a single mother, my life mission is to empower women to choose life in unplanned pregnancies. I know the odds I have defied and I believe God has placed me in a position to be able to show women of our community how they can do the same. He has given me an amazing platform by transforming my story into my ministry. I love to serve people and I am so passionate about showing women how they can walk in peace and confidence; even in the midst of unexpected situations.

Amanda Dees, Patient Resource Manager

I am so blessed to have joined the ministry at Women’s First Choice Medical Center. Coming from a womb that was barren, being born prematurely and being told by doctors that it would be a miracle if I lived past 12 hours- the emphasis on celebrating LIFE has been great! Every day at Women’s First Choice Medical we have the opportunity to celebrate each life brought before us. I have given many years of my life to prayer for the ending of abortion and for the women at risk. To now have the opportunity to put a face with those I have lifted to heaven is beyond words.

One thing that holds me steady through life’s trials and test is His unconditional love. No matter where we run or try to hide His love is steadfast. While praying about serving here I felt the Lord over and over confirm to me that my personal aim in life and in this ministry, is to love His people unconditionally. His unconditional love is what these women need to find during this time of their life.

I love the last five words of our mission statement which says, “transforming their fear into confidence.” We find in scripture that God’s perfect love cast out fear. I am here to listen, support and to show unconditional love to each patient that I see. I fully believe that abortion will end in my generation, with loving each miracle in front of me one at a time. Looking forward to serving this ministry with you!

Shannon Ross, Nurse Manager

I am so honored to be in the pregnancy care center and to use my nursing skills to minister to these women. God put a burden on my heart for the unborn when I was in nursing school and learned about fetal development and the miracle of pregnancy. I have primarily worked in pediatric nursing for that reason. He gave me a burden for the woman with an unplanned pregnancy each time I became pregnant and found myself scared and inadequate. If I felt that with a planned pregnancy, how much more overwhelmed must these women feel? I believe that we, as the church, are called to lift them up and give them truth, empowering them to live the life God has planned for them. This is what caring for people is all about, showing them God's love and grace, even when they feel there is no hope. Each time I am in the center I am amazed at how God is working and I look forward to what He is going to continue to do.

Peggy Holder, Office Manager

My husband, Paul and I relocated to Tifton at the end of 2012 from Ormond Beach, Florida. We made this decision as my mother was unable to stay by herself any longer and it was time for me to assist in her care. I had not worked since 2011, when I sold my business, but by the end of 2014, I began to desire working once again. I did not want a full-time position as we wanted time to travel and I still wanted to be with my mom. I asked God if he would provide a part time job for me to use the skills he had given me, so that I might be of service to him. He led me to the Pregnancy Care Center and the position he had chosen for me. God truly answers prayers in his time that are even more perfect than we could even begin to imagine. I am so very happy to be a part of this ministry to see it grow and meet each person he brings thru the door.

Sandra Simmons, Post Abortion Recovery

When I was 20 years old, I was in a wrong relationship with a guy. I ended up pregnant and out of fear of rejection and disappointment to my parents I turned to my employers wife for advice. She shared with me that she had had an abortion and she had also taken her teenaged daughter for an abortion. The only thing I remember is the fear I felt. I just knew I needed someone to help me. I can tell you without a doubt in my mind that I would have been willing to go to a pregnancy care center for help if I had been aware of one. Within the week she drove me to a nearby city for an abortion . I remember coming back to a very tiny apartment all alone. I remember not knowing what would happen next. My life and how I looked at myself had changed. I felt like I’d done the worst of the worst. It took me 17 years but I finally knew it was time to seek healing and Godly counsel. I myself went through this same Bible study and this scripture has been my testimony.

Psalm 40: 1-3 says “I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
3 He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.”

My prayer is that women will know about places like the pregnancy care center and choose to come here for help. I also pray for women that have gone through an abortion. I want them to know there is hope and forgiveness through Christ Jesus. His word brings life and healing!
